Michael Jackson death certificate shows he was buried after claims children ‘carry his ashes’ around their necks

Michael Jackson’s death certificate reveals the singer was buried, following claims that his children carry ashes around his neck. The late Thriller singer died 10 years ago today on 25 June 2009 at the age of 50 after an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol.
It was recently claimed that Michael was cremated and that his three children – Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II aka Blanket – carried his ashes around their necks. The reports came as a surprise as it was previously believed that Michael’s body was buried in a golden casket and interred in a crypt in California following his televised public funeral on 3 August 2009. But a death certificate shows that Michael was indeed buried, not cremated, at Forest Lawn Memorial in Glendale, California. Radar Online had reported that Michael’s children wore the late singer’s ashes in broken-heart shaped necklaces. A source told the publication: ‘The ashes are now in necklaces like the one that Paris wore to Michael’s memorial service and wrapped around his wrist as he lay in his open coffin.
‘She and her brothers rarely wear the necklaces in public. They keep them in locked boxes at home, as they’re afraid of losing the last remains of their father.’ It was claimed that Michael’s mother Katherine secretly had the singer’s body cremated to deter people from trying to rob his grave. The insider continued: ‘The family has kept the secret for safety reasons and to fulfil Michael’s wishes. But Katherine has privately revealed the truth to trusted friends…
The source also alleged the remainder of Michael’s ashes were scattered at his Neverland home. Michael’s family will be marking the 10th anniversary of his passing today. However, the singer’s reputation has been tarnished in recent months after the documentary, Leaving Neverland, accused him of sexually abusing Wade Robson and James Safechuck when they were young boys. But Michael’s sister Janet Jackson believes his legacy ‘will continue’.
